GigaMart NFT marketplace item detail and price history interface

The problem

NFT trading needed more than another grid of JPEGs.

Most NFT marketplaces made the transaction possible but left serious collectors stitching together several other tools to understand what was happening around a collection.

GigaMart was designed around a wider idea. Buying and selling were only part of the experience. Traders also needed discovery, market data, collection analytics, activity, dashboards and context around the assets they were considering.

The challenge was bringing that depth into one product without turning the marketplace into a wall of charts, tables and blockchain data.

GigaMart collection profile, marketplace listings and NFT discovery interface

GigaMart combined the familiar marketplace journey with the deeper information active NFT traders were already looking for elsewhere.

What I did

Three decisions shaped the marketplace.

01

Designed the whole journey, not just the listing page

I worked on GigaMart from the first wireframes through to the finished product, mapping how users moved between discovery, collections, individual NFTs, wallet activity, buying, selling and their own portfolio.

The marketplace had to feel connected even as the user moved between very different jobs. The structure came first, then the UI system was built around those journeys.

02

Put trading data where the decision happened

Collectors should not have to leave the marketplace every time they want to understand a collection.

GigaMart brought market information into the product itself, including sales, listings, volume, floor performance, depth information and other collection analytics.

The design challenge was deciding what deserved attention at each level, from a quick collection scan through to a much deeper trading view.

03

Made a marketplace feel like a trading community

GigaMart went beyond transactions with social and collector-focused tools, including verified-holder interaction, commenting, voting and configurable dashboards.

Those features needed to support the marketplace rather than compete with it. I designed them as extensions of the collection and trading experience so users could move naturally between data, activity and community.

The finished product brought marketplace trading, collection research, analytics and community tools together in one consistent experience.

GigaMart launched as part of the SuperVerse ecosystem in 2022 and has since been retired.
