How Pocket Pixels collects, uses, and protects your information across our website and apps.
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Pocket Pixels Ltd (“Pocket Pixels”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a product design studio and app publisher based in the United Kingdom.
This policy explains how we handle personal information through https://pocketpixels.co and our apps published on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Different apps use different features and services. App-specific sections and notices explain those differences.
Pocket Pixels Ltd is responsible for personal information we process as a data controller. Our service providers may process information on our behalf or for their own purposes, as explained in their privacy notices.
You can contact us at hello@pocketpixels.co. Our registered address is available on request.
When you visit pocketpixels.co, information processed may include:
We use this information to operate and secure the website, understand its use and respond to enquiries.
Our website does not use advertising trackers. Advertising within an app is described separately below.
The information processed depends on the app and the features you use. It may include:
Some information stays on your device, while information needed by an integrated service is sent to that provider. Identifiers and technical information can constitute personal information even when they do not include your name.
Apple or Google processes payments made through their stores. We do not receive your payment-card details.
Each app’s store listing and any additional in-app privacy notices provide information specific to that app.
Type or Die currently stores game progress, settings, earned and purchased coin balances, character unlocks and upgrades locally on your device.
The game does not currently provide an account-based cloud wallet or cloud progression recovery. Reinstalling the app or using another device does not automatically recover this local game data through Type or Die. Device backups or transfers may behave differently depending on your platform settings.
Deleting the app does not automatically delete purchase or service records held by Apple, RevenueCat or other providers.
Type or Die uses Apple’s in-app purchase system and RevenueCat to help validate purchases, manage purchase entitlements and handle purchase-related support and recovery.
Information processed may include an app user identifier, product and transaction identifiers, purchase receipts or verification information, purchase dates and status, and technical information such as app version, device type and operating system.
This information helps us deliver purchased products, recognise purchases such as Remove Ads, prevent duplicate delivery and investigate purchase problems.
Restoring an eligible Remove Ads purchase is separate from recovering a locally stored coin balance. Restore Purchases does not recreate the remaining balance of previously delivered consumable coin packs.
Type or Die uses Google AdMob to display automatic interstitial advertisements and optional rewarded advertisements, including rewards for continuing a run or receiving coins.
Google and advertising partners may process:
This information may be used to deliver and measure advertising, improve advertising services, and detect fraud or invalid traffic. Processing depends on the advertising services used, your region, your privacy choices and device permissions. Where personalised advertising is enabled and permitted, information may also be used to select ads based on interests.
Type or Die uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to present applicable privacy messages and choices. Where available, you can revisit these through Settings → Privacy Options. Device-level permissions can also be managed in iOS Settings.
Choosing non-personalised advertising does not necessarily prevent all data processing needed to deliver, secure or measure ads.
Remove Ads stops automatic interstitial advertisements. Optional rewarded advertisements remain available if you choose to use them.
Type or Die supports Apple Game Center for leaderboard features. When you use these features, scores and Game Center player information are processed through Apple’s services. Your Game Center profile and scores may be visible to other players according to Apple’s settings and the leaderboard features you use.
You can manage Game Center through your Apple device settings.
Depending on the service and feature, we use information to:
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the appropriate legal basis for each purpose:
Where consent is required, legitimate interests are not used as a substitute. You can withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.
Advertising providers explain their own processing purposes and legal bases through their privacy notices and applicable consent messages.
We share information as needed with providers that operate our services, including website hosting and communication providers, app stores, purchase-management services and advertising providers.
Relevant services include:
Not every provider is used by every app.
We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, investigate fraud or secure our services.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
The retention period depends on the type of information, whether an enquiry or dispute remains open, the needs of purchase support and fraud prevention, and applicable legal or accounting obligations.
Local app data generally remains on your device until it is removed by you or the app. Device backups may retain separate copies.
Service providers retain information according to their role, our applicable agreements and their own privacy notices. Deleting an app does not necessarily remove records already held by those providers.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
Some service providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, including in the United States.
Where we transfer personal information subject to UK or EU transfer restrictions, appropriate safeguards are required. Depending on the transfer, these may include an applicable adequacy decision or approved contractual protections.
You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
Our website uses functional cookies necessary for its operation and does not set advertising or tracking cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may affect website functions.
Apps and their service providers may use device storage, identifiers and similar technologies for settings, purchases, advertising and privacy choices. These app technologies are separate from website cookies.
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have the right to:
These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
To make a request, email hello@pocketpixels.co. We normally respond within one month. If additional time is permitted and needed, we will explain why.
For information stored only on your device, we may not be able to access or identify that information remotely. We can explain the available local controls.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/ or your local data protection authority.
Our website and services are not directed at children under 13. An app’s store age rating describes its content and does not by itself determine its intended audience for privacy purposes.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, contact hello@pocketpixels.co so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
We may update this policy as our services or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest update. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for relevant changes.
